One of the biggest business space opportunities west of London, Kimmerfields will be a new mixed-use urban quarter with up to 600,000 sq ft of new office space and new residential development alongside cafés, shops, restaurants, close to the station and next to the town centre.

Swindon Borough Council and Homes England are now working closely to consider development options for the Kimmerfields site and finalise a new masterplan.
The vision for the Kimmerfields Business District will remain transformative: it will significantly improve Swindon’s offer to businesses and employees. The 20-acre site will feature a new public realm for everyone to enjoy, with new office space, cafés, restaurants, bars, public spaces, a new residential development, bus exchange and infrastructure improvements.
A refreshed site masterplan will be available from early 2019 when the first phase of development will be announced.

Kimmerfields enabling works
The council are viewing the new bus exchange and Fleming Way improvements in the context of a town centre movement strategy which will be developed in late 2018. A detailed programme to create a new bus exchange and other improvements to Fleming Way, the major route along the southern edge of Kimmerfields will be finalised in early 2019.
This approved scheme will ‘set the stage’ for the development of Kimmerfields and together with other planned improvements to town centre movement by people and vehicles and will unlock other major town centre development opportunities along its route.
